After 'Yashoda', Samantha Hypes Up 'Shaakunthalam' Now!

As it is known, star heroine Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Yashoda' was released this Friday and managed to get a decent response from the critics. Despite a few flaws in the story and narration, people were in awe of Samantha's performance in emotional scenes and action parts. The film is being promoted as a success and the occupancy increased from the evening shows on the first day as per reports.

Though the openings were poor due to a lack of active promotions, the talk of 'Yashoda', the craze of Samantha, lack of other notable releases and 'Kantara' finally slowing down is expected to help this action-packed thriller. Senior director Gunasekhar who worked with Samantha has praised the actress' work.

He wrote, "#Yashoda is gripping ,keeps us intrigued. @Samanthaprabhu2 performance stands out with intensity, her efforts in d action sequences tailored to suit her physique & her innocent persona in d beginning sets d stage for the twists that follow. Another feather to your cap #Samantha."

Replying to this, Samantha thanked the 'Okkadu' director and raised hype on their upcoming film 'Shaakunthalam' by saying that she can't wait for the film, especially after what she had seen. It looks like Sam saw some footage from the movie which made her excited. Let us wait till we find out when it releases.

'Shaakunthalam' is a pan-Indian film and the shooting was completed at a rapid pace. But the makers did not release any updates regarding this film till date which worried Samantha's fans. Music is composed by Mani Sharma while 'Shaakuntalam' is written and directed by Gunasekhar. Neelima Guna produced this film while Shekar V Joseph is the cinematographer. Prawin Pudi is the editor while Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues. Presented by Dil Raju, Dev Mohan will be seen as Dushyanta. Ananya Nagalla, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Prakash Rah, Gautam, Kabir Bedi, Kabir Singh Duhan and others played key roles.
