Hello: Akhil Target Is 32+ Crores

Update: 2017-12-14 06:02 GMT
Akkineni Akhil is getting ready for the release of his second film 'Hello' to prove his mettle.  Though he has competition from Nani's 'MCA', Akhil is reportedly eyeing on Rs. 40 crore club.  His dad Nagarjuna is releasing the film in a huge number of theaters.  Though the number is enough to reach their target, the collections will depend on the first-day response.  If the movie receives positive talk then the movie range will further increase.

The worldwide theatrical rights of 'Hello' were closed at Rs.32 crore.  Comparatively, the figure is very less than Akhil's debut film as it was sold for Rs.42 crore.  But still, the expectations are high on 'Hello' because of Vikram Kumar direction.  Based on the positive buzz surrounding 'Hello', it may well register good collections in the first week. But the second-week shares will depend on the talk.

'Hello' Nizam, AP rights were sold at Rs. 26.5 crore, Karnataka rights were sold at Rs. 2 crore.  Overseas rights fetched around Rs.3 crores.  It is common for star hero films to collect more than  Rs.40 crore share at the box office.  But this will again depend on the talk.  If the movie gets a negative talk, all the estimations may go wrong.   On the whole, recovery of Rs.32 crores will not be a huge task for Akhil.

Kalyani Priyadarshan is the heroine of the film. 'Hello' is hitting the screens on December 22.
