Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana received a National Award in Best Actor category for the performance he displayed in the Bollywood super hit movie Andhadhun, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The movie is a dark comedy thriller that is finely laced with some human emotions. Interestingly, the movie is getting remade down South now.
Already, the Tamil remake was announced with Prashanth playing the lead. Siddarth was supposed to do the Tamil version but somehow Prashanth stepped in the project. A Telugu remake is getting ready separately where Nani and Siddarth were considered initially.
Now, the industry reports reveal that Akkineni Naga Chaitanya might be zeroed in to reprise the role of Ayushmann Khurrana in the movie. Although there is no official confirmation on the same, Chay is actually showing interest in the film. If Chay decides to do the movie, that certainly would become a wrong move from him.
The role that Ayushmann played in Hindi is not a tailor-made role for Chay and there are heroes already in Telugu who would be a perfect cast. If Chay has to do it, a lot of compromises would go into the making of the character which will kill the true essence of the role and Chay needs to get close to the family audiences first which will enable him to do experiments in the next level.
