But, he is now back in the headlines for something inspiring. The actor has apparently come forward to pledge one crore rupees to the cyclone hit Odisha state. The cyclone Fani created a lot of damage to the state and the actor has come up with a donation to speed up the relief activities.
Akshay Kumar always proved his philanthropic side by making donations in multiple situations. He also contributed an amount of 5 crores in the past for Bharat Ke Veer. He even donated money when Kerala and Tamilnadu states were hit by floods.
On the other side, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Odisha to witness the destruction caused by cyclone Fani. After talking to the officials, the Prime Minister has announced Rs 1000 crore as initial disaster assistance to the state. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik too appealed the people of the nation to come up with donations to the state development.
