Last week it was announced that the Hindi dubbed version of Allu Arjuns Ala Vaikunthapurramulo will be released in theatres. Noted Bollywood producer Manish Shah even wrapped up the Hindi dubbing works and he announced that the film will be releasing on the 26th of January.
But following a series of unforeseen events the theatrical release of Ala Vaikunthapurramulo was called off. Now Manish Shah has opened up about what happened behind the scenes.
" The producers of Shehzada Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramulo are good friends of mine. I share a good rapport with them. When I announced that I will be releasing the Hindi dubbed version of Ala Vaikunthapurramulo in theatres they approached me saying the hero in Shehzada - Karthik Aryan threatened to walk out of the project if the Hindi dubbed version releases in theatres. If that happened the producers of Shehzada would lose around Rs 40 crores. I did not want that to happen as I personally know them from the last 10 year. I cant see them taking such big losses and that is the reason why I called off the theatrical release of the Hindi version. Manish said.
Adding further Manish fired on Karthik Aryan who plays the protagonist in Shehzada.I have understood that Karthik Aryan is an unprofessional guy. He threatened to walk out of the project if I released the Hindi dubbed version. He blackmailed the producers. I don't even know him before but he affected my project. As a result I am unable to release the Hindi version in theatres. In order to cover the expenses I spent on the dubbing work I am having to release the film on TV. I did it for the producers of Shehzada, and Allu Aravind but not for Karthik Aryan."
Manish is visibly displeased with Karthik over the Hindi version theatrical release controversy and it is good to hear his side of the story. Notably the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramulo Shehzada is already in the filming phase now. The film has Karthik Aryan reprising Allu Arjun's role from the original. This film is up for theatrical release later this year.
