Megastar Chiranjeevi is set share the screen with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for Godfather, the Telugu remake of Lucifer. The unit had commenced the shoot already and close to 50% of the filming part has been wrapped up already.  Now, we are hearing that Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan are set to join the forthcoming shooting schedule of Godfather.

The next schedule of Godfather is being planned in Hyderabad and the scenes featuring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan will be shot in this schedule. The unit is planning this schedule in a grand manner and it is expected to commence towards the end of January or February.

Logistically, Salman Khan can wrap up the shooting part for Godfather in under a week. He has apparently allotted around 6-7 working days for the film and he is eager to join the sets as he is excited about sharing the screen with Chiranjeevi.

It is heard that the makers are planning a special song on Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan. Salman's character has been extended in the remake and it will be comparatively lengthier than the one in the original, Lucifer. As for the special song, the makers plan to film it on a lavish scale. The idea is to rope in noted English singer Britney Spears for the same. If that happens, this will be the first time Britney croons a song in an Indian film.

This special song will be canned on a lavish scale and it will feature Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan. A sizeable portion of the overall budget of the film will be allocated for this song shoot alone.

The scenes between Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan will be the main highlight of Godfather and the same will be shot at a rather brisk pace once the shoot resumes. The schedule will commence towards the end of January or early this February, as mentioned before.

Godfather is directed by Mohan Raja and it is produced by NV Prasad and Konidela Productions. The film has Nayanthara, Satya Dev, and others in important roles. Thaman is composing the music for the action oriented political thriller.
