Allu Aravind To Launch A Geetha Arts OTT Service?

Update: 2019-04-25 07:18 GMT
On digital platforms we get to see several content creators depending on OTT services like Netflix, Youtube, Zee5, Amazon Prime, Viu and several others.

OTT service refers to Over-The-Top service that don't require a satellite TV or isn't an video-on-demand service. It can be free of subscription fee or not.

From TFI such services haven't been started by any producer or production house yet. Geetha Arts is going to be the first one, it seems.

Allu Aravind with Nimmagadda Prasad and My Home Rameswar Rao is looking to launch the OTT service and this will take away all the latest content from their production house on YouTube, it seems.

They want to launch it as an alternative for Amazon Prime for Telugu films and will try to help producers get their flexible dates to release the content on digital platform, it seems.

My Home group could invest more than 70 crores in the project with Allu Aravind taking responsibility to produce original content for the app.

The subscription will also be less than Hotstar, Netflix and Amazon Prime but slightly above Youtube Red services.

As the future seems to be going more and more digital, Allu Aravind and his friends, want to be the first ones to explore the medium from TFI, like they did with Nagarjuna to save MAA TV and later sold it to STAR Network. Other details will be announced soon.
