Bollywood Critics find fault with DJ remarks!

Update: 2017-06-28 08:26 GMT
Duvvada Jagannadam, the recent Allu Arjun starrer has released all over India and thanks to Baahubali for opening the market for Telugu films to conquer. Well, Bollywood is known for stereo-typing South Indians as Madrasis and cracking jokes about their skin colour and accent as well. Never a Bollywood critic tried to raise an objection but now, with Dj's remarks they are trying to find a fault and asking for apology from Censor Board as well regarding the issue.

In DJ, an eight year old boy, who turns out to be the hero, kills a person and surrenders to the Police. One of the Police, asks him if he killed a Bihari or a person from Chattisgarh. This comment as become the point of objection for critics like Subhash Jha, who went to on to write about the stereo-typing a land and wondered how Censor board approved such statements.

Well sir, like the way they found it all fictional with Meenamma's portrayal in Chennai Express, or Krishnan Iyer in Agneepath, the same way they found it fictional and acceptable in Duvvada Jagannadam too. From a director's point of view, Harish Shankar and his team would not have considered those lines will create any deep impact and they used it as a casual comment from a Police officer.

If such comments are being faulted then even in Hindi films, nobody should show that Bihar is plagued with crime too. But Gangs of Wasseypur didn't, movies like Ohmkara and many more set in the Bihar's heartland reflected the reality there. Even in DJ, too the writers just made a comment and reflected the reality! Is there any fault in that?
