A few weeks ago, Tamil movie '96' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan hit the screens. Touted to be a pure love story, the movie created sensations at the Kollywood box office and became a blockbuster hit.
Tollywood producer Dil Raju has bought the remake rights of that film long ago and has been trying to rope in a hero to play the lead in the remake. But none of the heroes are showing interest to do the remake. Recently, Dil Raju approached Bunny and has been waiting for his final call. As per the latest reports Stylish Star has taken his decision and rejected the film saying that the film would not suit for his image. Dil Raju has started his search for the lead actor again. As of now, he is considering Hero Sharwanand as Nani moved on to other projects. Rana initially showed interest in the film but Dil Raju felt that he doesn't suit for the film. Prem Kumar who helmed the original version will wield the megaphone for the Telugu remake as well.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun is going to announce his upcoming project with Trivikram Srinivas. The film will go on floors in New Year and Trivikram has prepared a romantic drama for Bunny. The movie features two female leads and the makers are yet to finalize the heroines.
