Rana Daggubati disclosed the prediction made by Amitabh Bachchan during the shoot of 'Department'. In a recent episode of No.1 Yaari, The Macho Hero told: 'After 'Leader', I got an opportunity to work with RGV in Bollywood. I was confident as the film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Abhimanyu Singh and Lakshmi Manchu. While shooting for the movie, Big B told Varma that only he, his office boy and another person who was present there will be the only one's watching that flick after the release. I was shocked to hear such a comment from Amitabh. The prediction of Legend has come true. 'Department' failed miserably. May be, Even Varma hasn't watched it. That film was more like a shock treatment for Me'.
'Department' was made with a budget of Rs 32 crore but it failed to recover even 25 percent of the investment. Post this flick, Amitabh Bachchan has done 'Sarkar 3' with RGV but even that film was a huge failure. Since then, RGV began focussing mostly on the Telugu Films.
