We have been hearing about Pan India stardom, Pan India stars ever since Baahubali release. Prabhas became first Pan India star from Telugu language films and next Yash became first one from Kannada with KGF Chapter 1. Allu Arjun proved his Pan India popularity with Pushpa The Rise. Movie became a sensational hit in Hindi markets.
Jr. NTR, Ram Charan and even slightly reluctant Mahesh are also planning huge films. Dulquer Salmaan, Fahad Fassil from Malayalam Industry have become National stars due to pandemic giving their good films enough boost on OTT platforms.
How can Tamil stars be behind when Telugu and Kannada movie actors are all planning huge. Already they have seen Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth do films in other languages do increase their market in late 80's and then do much bigger budget films in 90's, appropriate to that time.
Before Baahubali it is Rajnikanth's Enthiran/Robo that had the distinction of being highest budget film from India and even biggest blockbuster in every language too. Budget wise Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One over took it but could not become such huge hit.
So, Vijay and Ajith the biggest stars of current Tamil Cinema have started exploring content that works across all the languages. Ajith with Valimai seems to be targetting global markets and Pan India.
Vijay has been consistently delivering enjoyable commercial cinema for Tamil audiences and increasing his popularity in other languages too. Hence, he does need a Pan World song to live up to fans expectations.
While sarcastically making fun of it, Anirudh Ravichandran, director Nelson have come up with Arabic Kuthu song for Vijay's next film Beast. Nelson became popular with Doctor promotional videos and used similar comic scene to announce Vijay movie's first single too.
Even Vijay joined the trio of Anirudh, Nelson and Siva Karthikeyan who wrote lyrics for this Arabic Kuthu, Halamathi Habibo song, on phone and added his own punchlines sportively.
Anirudh created sensational audios for Vijay's Kaththi, Master before. Looks like he is planning for something fun this time too.
