Prabhas's Salaar is one of the lavishly shot projects in Indian cinema. The heavy budget action drama is being mounted on a massive scale by Hombale films Prashanth Neel who shot to fame with KGF is directing the Prabhas starrer now. The makers are planning to commence the shoot by the end of this year and the schedules are being planned accordingly. In all likelihood, the entire shooting part of Salaar will be wrapped up by the end of December this year. The post production will commence correspondingly.

The latest we hear is that the makers of Salaar have roped in a young actress for one of the important roles in the film. Apparently, Meenakshi Chaudhary, who made her debut with Ichata Vahanamulu Nilupa Radhu and is currently awaiting the release of Ravi Teja's Khiladi is on board for Salaar. The actress has been roped in for an important role in the film. The same will be made official very soon.

Not so long ago, there were reports claiming that the makers of Salaar had roped in Bollywood diva Vani Kapoor for an important role in the film. Now, it is heard that Meenakshi Chaudhary is also on board for the heavy duty action drama which has Prabhas and Shruti Hassan in the lead roles. The makers seem to be intending to rope in a star studded cast for the project. The fact that they have roped in Jagapathi Babu, Vani Kapoor, and Meenakshi Chaudhary for important roles in the film proves the same.

As for Salaar, the film is halfway through the shoot and the makers are planning to release it in theatres next year. If Salaar does hit the silver screens some time next year, it will be Prabhas's third theatrical release in 2022 with the other two being Radhe Shya (Jan 14th) and Adipurush (11th August). If Prabhas releases as many as three films next year it could come as a pleasant  surprise to his fans and followers. Radhe Shyam and Adipurush are already announced for theatrical release but an official announcement on Salaar's release date is awaited.
