Update: 2016-06-07 07:42 GMT
Censor Board suggested 40 cuts for Bollywood movie 'Udta Punjab' for use to cuss words and depicting drugs mafia. Thereafter, Makers approached Revising Committee hoping for minimal or no cuts. To their shock, This time 89 cuts have been recommended for issuing Censor Certificate.

Director Anurag Kashyap who produced 'Udta Punjab' vented his anger on the Censorship: "There is no film more honest than UDTA PUNJAB .. And any person or party opposing it is actually GUILTY of promoting drugs. It's my fight Vs a dictatorial man sitting there operating like an oligarch in his constituency of censor board, that's my North Korea".

The Filmmaker appealed Congress, AAP and other Political Parties to stay out of his battle (My Rights Vs Censorship). He urged not to color his fight with any political affiliation.

Anurag opined Twitter trolls are only diverting the issue. He asked people who criticize him to go pick their own fights as he is fighting his own right now.
