Update: 2021-10-01 11:24 GMT
Pawan Kalyan's speech at the Republic pre-release event has led to a huge controversy. This has quickly transcended into a verbal confrontation between Pawan Kalyan and the government of Andhra Pradesh. The verbal exchanges between Pawan Kalyan and the government of Andhra Pradesh have caught the attention of Tollywood followers and commoners alike. The other day, Tollywood producers met with the Andhra Pradesh I&PR minister Perni Nani and discussed the online cinema ticketing portal proposal which has revved up a new debate in Tollywood. Incidentally, the Telugu producers revealed that they were the ones who requested the government of Andhra Pradesh to bring up the online ticketing portal proposal.

Following the meeting with the Andhra Pradesh government, Tollywood producers have met with Pawan Kalyan earlier today. The motive behind the meeting is to keep Pawan Kalyan posted about the latest developments regarding the consultations between the Tollywood delegation and the Andhra Pradesh government. Dil Raju, Mythri Naveen, UV's Vamsi Reddy, DVV Danayya, and others who met with Perni the other day met with Pawan Kalyan today. The meeting was carried out in good spirits and several important topics came to the discussion in the same.

A related snap of Pawan Kalyan and the Telugu producers has surfaced on the internet and it is going viral now. It is unclear if Pawan Kalyan sided with the online ticketing portal or if he is against it. Speaking at a public meeting yesterday, Pawan Kalyan said he really doesn't care about the cinema ticket prices issues. "I really don't give two hoots about your (AP govt's) stand on the ticket prices issue. Do whatever the hell you want. I am not even interested in acting in films. But I have to continue because many people will be benefited if I take up new projects. My films provide a livelihood to several families as many individuals are a part of the cast and crew of my films. That is one of the main reasons why I am continuing to act in films," Pawan Kalyan said. The war of words between Pawan Kalyan and the Andhra Pradesh government is yet to subside though.
