AP high court gives relief to cinema theatres

The high court of Andhra Pradesh has provided some much needed relief to cinema theatres in the state by striking out the G.O 35 to full effect.

Previously, the high court ordered the cinema halls to implement the previous pricing system which was in effect prior to April 2021. However, this court order was applicable to only the cinema halls that approached the high court regarding the pricing system.

Now, the high court has provided some highly encouraging boost to all the cinema halls across the state by stating that every cinema hall in the state can use the prior pricing system.

As per the latest court order, the cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh can follow the pricing model that they used to follow before the GO 35 was passed by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Related orders were passed by the court a short while ago.

This could come as a big boost to the buyers of forthcoming biggies like RRR, Radhe Shyam, and others. With an increased pricing system, the cinema theatres will be hoping to mint big revenues at the ticket counter this Sankranthi season. This will directly help biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam.
