AP: Speaker suspends 5 TDP Legislators for creating Ruckus!

Update: 2022-03-14 09:36 GMT
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly continues to see an intense fight and war of words between the ruling YCP and opposition Telugu Desam Party. The last time when the Assembly sessions were held, both parties made a brutal verbal attack against each other. TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu had alleged that he was humiliated by taking his wife's name and he vowed to not step into the house unless he becomes the Chief Minister.

Continuing the same heat, the Budget sessions were started on a heated note. When Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan was addressing the house, the TDP leaders had raised slogans and as a result, they were sent out of the house. The opposition leaders had alleged that the Governor had failed to protect the systems.

But the political heat had increased at once when the opposition party MLAs were suspended till the budget sessions end. The same was announced by Speaker Tammineni Sitaram in the Assembly house.

It all started when the Telugu Desam Party leaders had raised the mystery deaths incident in West Godavari's Jangareddygudem. They demanded that a discussion on the same should be held in the house so that everyone will know what happened in the incident.

Multiple requests made by the ruling party leaders and the Speaker to make the sessions happen without any issue went in vain with the opposition leaders making their stand clear that they want a detailed discussion.

With the TDP legislators not showing any sign of taking a back step, the Assembly speaker had suspended as many as five MLAs and this made them ineligible to attend the entire budget sessions.

Atchennaidu, Butchaiah Chowdhary, Payyavula Keshav, Ramanaidu, and DBV Swamy are the five MLAs from the opposition party who stand suspended from the house.

The suspension decision taken by Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker TammineniSitaram did not go well with the TDP leaders. To express their anger on the same, they reached the speaker podium and threw papers. This made the Speaker angry at the opposition leaders. On top of this, the marshals were asked to take the MLAs out of the house to continue the sessions.
