AP Ticket fares Row: Local authorities to face the heat?

Update: 2021-08-16 14:36 GMT
It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government had recently brought a new Government Order that aims at regulating the ticket fares of the theatres in the state. However, a few theatres are reportedly not following the G.O.

It has been widely reported that the theatres that fall under the 'C' center are mostly indulging in the practice of selling tickets for the old prices. They are going ahead with the practice by managing the local authorities.

The issue came to the limelight after the practice went to the notice of Chief Minister Peshi. Taking a serious note of this, the Joint Collectors were directed to look into the matter and take action against the responsible officials.

Saying that the local authorities who have compromised on rendering their duties to stop the theatre owners from selling the ticket fares for the old prices should be identified, the JCs were directed to take the required action.

What's even surprising is that the issue has not reached the notice of CM Jagan or else the situation would be even more serious.

It has to be noted that CM Jagan was very firm on his decision to regulate the ticket fares. He didn't even hear the requests made by the bigwigs to not decrease the ticket fares saying that it would add more troubles for the theatre owners.

The main task that would be faced by the JC's is to sort out the issue before CM Jagan knows about it.
