Bollywood has run out of ideas that they are either remaking South films or making biopics. In the music department too they are either taking hit Pujabi tracks or remixing classic hits and ruining it. They have recently remixed AR Rahman's golden hit 'Masakali' from 'Delhi 6' film and released a new version 'Masakali 2.0'. Remixed by Tanishk Bagchi and featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria in the video, the song is getting a lot of views but tons of negative comments and criticism. Now, the original composer AR Rahman too expressed his disappointment over the new version.
He posted a tweet saying, "No shortcuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of director, a composer and a lyricist supported by actors, dance directors and a relentless film crew." He gave a link to the original song and asked people to enjoy it. There is nothing false in this as Bollywood is on a mission to destroy its popular hit songs and Masakali is just another addition to it.
