'Mahanati' is not only commercially successful but also one of the most critically acclaimed films in this year. AP Government has felicitated the team in Amaravati for offering such a wonderful cinematic experience.

During the felicitation ceremony, Nannapaneni Rajakumari sought Tax Exemption to Savitri's biopic. CM Chandrababu Naidu announced Tax Exemption to 'Mahanati' on the same stage.

Producer Ashwini Dutt, however, turned down the Tax Exemption politely. 'We all knew how much of hard work is being put by CM to build a World-class Capital despite financial crisis. Accepting Tax Exemption is like putting more burden on the State Government. So, We ourselves donate Rs 50 lakh for the development of Amaravati. It's our privilege to contribute,' he said.

Earlier, Ashwini Dutt had offered several acres of prime land to AP Government for the expansion of Gannavaram Airport. One should have a big heart to make such a huge contributions.
