Young Tamil director Atlee entered the top league with just four films. After a feel-good film like 'Raja Rani', Atlee went on to make three blockbuster films like 'Theri', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil' with star hero Vijay. He became one of the most sought out directors in South India.
During the time of 'Bigil', Atlee was all set to make his Bollywood directorial debut with a Shah Rukh Khan film. It is a dream for any filmmaker to direct a huge star like SRK. Sadly, the project did not take off due to reasons unknown but it looks like Atlee still hasn't lost hope.
The young director did not start any project in the last one year. He was supposed to make a film with Jr NTR under Ashwini Dutt's production. It was announced two years back but there was no update on this film. Insiders say that Atlee is keen on working with SRK even now. He recently retweeted a video posted by King Khan on his birthday.
It is to be seen whether Atlee gets a chance to work with Bollywood ka Baadshah or finally gives up his hope and focus on South Indian projects.
