National award winning art director Thota Tharani is giving it as much as he can to make upcoming Telugu period-drama "Rudhramadevi" visually grand. The film's director says his work is awe inspiring.

"The sets that he (Thota Tharani) has recreated for this film will be highly talked about because his work is awe inspiring. He has already designed several sets for the film. Currently, we are shooting a song on a set of a queen's chamber in Annapurna Studios," director Gunasekhar told IANS.

"This particular set cost us several crore. Since the story is set in the 13th century, a lot of effort was put into research and detailing of each set. We have nearly completed fifty percent of the film so far," he added.

The film, which is also produced by Gunasekhar, features Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in lead roles. Other actors such as Krishnam Raju, Aditi Chengappa, Nathalia Kaur and Zara Shah will be seen in important roles.

Touted as India's first stereoscopic 3D film, "Rudhramadevi" features Anushka in the role of Rani Rudhramadevi, a prominent queen of the Kakatiya dynasty.
