Inspite of negative reviews, 'Varsham' Hindi remake 'Baaghi' managed to become a successful film within just two days of its release. How is it possible?
Baaghi Economics:
Total Budget: Rs 47 crore (Cost of Production: Rs 35 crore; Publicity: Rs 12 crore)
Already, Makers have pocked Rs 20 crore and Rs 5 crore respectively through the sale of Satellite Rights & Audio Rights. So, All that the film has to recover through theatricals is just Rs 22 crore.
'Baaghi' collected Rs 11.87 crore on Day 1 in India alone, making it the 2nd highest opener of year 2016. Though Morning Shows have only 35% occupancy, Viewership has increased from Evening Shows. The film is especially good in Multiplexes across the country. Even on Day 2, The revenue is expected to be on par with Day 1 or even better because of the Weekend factor. That's how 'Baaghi' managed to be a winner.
Good news for TFI is the fact that Sudheer Babu who played the antagonist in 'Baaghi' has overshadowed even the lead pair Tiger Shroff & Shraddha Kapoor with his splendid performance. Tollywood Rocks!!
