Audience only encourages those films that come close to their tastes and traditions or big superhero movies that have heavy VFX battles to go with. Seeing a trend that they like to make movies on mythology and folklore too, many expected Baahubali to do well there.
Somehow the movie ended up being a disaster and slowly the movie failed to create enough buzz in China even though the first part created a Worldwide frenzy. Many were surprised and then thought China might not work for Indian films much barring few expectations like PK. Dangal changed that perception. The makers are also taking enough care in dubbing the movie properly this time around carefully negating the mistakes they made previously.
