National Award Winning Art Director Sabu Cyril explains how much 'Baahubali' means to him and the kind of satisfaction creation of Mahishmati Kingdom has given to him. He also spilled the beans that a new kingdom is being designed by him for 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'.
Sabu Cyril: "Undoubtedly, 'Baahubali' is the biggest project of my career. Its like working on 10 Projects at a time. Aspects such as Historical Subject based on War backdrop, Strong Characters, Warriors, Huge Settings, Forests, Animals and Royalty pose a challenge to Me. But, I'm loving it! People assumed that most of the sets erected for Baahubali were VFX work. That's where the success of my work lies. By working on Part 1 & Part 2, I gained an experience equivalent to another 10 years of work. I have given up the offer to work for 'Robo 2.0' for 'Baahubali'".
"Huge Success of Baahubali Part 1 permitted a bigger budget for Part 2. We are more confident now and have been planning something even bigger this time. In fact, I'm designing a new Kingdom for 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. Currently, Research is being done and opinions of experts will be sought for meeting the requirements. Its more like working in a laboratory. Everything from dummy humans, animals, horses, elephants and snakes have been created. Every day, 300-500 people including construction workers, carpenters, painters and artistes work on the sets".
