'Babu Baga Busy' is an official remake of Bollywood hit 'Hunterrr'. Srinivas Avasarala playing the male lead in this sex comedy has certainly drawn the curiosity of movie buffs. Even posters & promos of this Sex Comedy looked quite impressive. Was the team able to match-up with the Original? Let's see...

Synopsis:

'Babu Baga Busy' is the life journey of Madhav (Srinivas Avasarala), a sex addict, and the women with whom he had a relationship. Out of fear of facing rejection,  Madhav hides his past affairs from Radha (Mishti Chakravarthy) with whom he gets engaged. He, however, doesn't change his character or life style much after getting ready for marriage. What consequences did he face because of his sex addiction form rest of the tale!

Performances:

First things first, Srinivas Avasarala is a complete misfit to the role of Sex Addict. Still, He manages to receive goog feedback because of his comic timing.

Mishti Chakravarthy is just okay. Supriya Aysola looks damn sexy. It's her episode which stood as a highlight of the movie. Tejaswi Madiwada have nothing much to do. Sreemukhi is alright. Priyadarsi makes a good impression yet again. Adarsh Balakrishna is fine.

Pros:

Supriya Aysola's Glamour

Cons:

Narration

First Half

Climax

Technicalities:

Songs composed by Sunil Kashyap are more like speed-breakers. Background Score is even worse. Camera Work is just okay. Only Few Dialogues leave a good impact. Production Values are below par. Debutante Director Naveen Medaram failed to retain the essence of the Original (Hunterrr). The narration is pathetic ( particularly in the First Half) and hence audience feel like watching a lengthy movie even though it's not the case.

Analysis:

Retaining the essence of the original is the key for attaining success with a Remake subject. Sadly, Makers of 'Babu Baga Busy' weren't able to do so though the Telugu version appears like copy-paste product. Neither it's a genuine Adult Comedy which could appeal to a particular section of audience nor a Clean Movie that can reach out to all sections.

Srinivas Avasarala is unfit for the role of Playboy. All of his scenes with Mishti Chakravarthy are so boring. The episode featuring Supriya Aysola offers what one expects from a Sex Comedy. At the same time, Viewers will be disappointed if they expect high dose of lip-lock or love-making scenes in the movie.

Comedy Quotient in 'Babu Baga Busy' is very low. Avasarala & Priyadarsi have tried their best in this department but weren't largely successful. The sub-plots appear like deviation from the actual story and create confusion. Attempt has been made to present the subject with a different screenplay but the risk didn't pay off.

The sequence where realization of Protagonist was showcased looks unconvincing. Inexperience of the debutante filmmaker is evident in the narration. Climax is really bad that it hardly gives any hope for surviving the Baahubali 2 storm. Overall, 'Babu Baga Busy' is a good opportunity gone waste!

Bottom Line:
Babu Baga Boring!
