Trapped in a series of controversies, including a release ban, Mallika Sherawats latest movie Dirty Politics got respite today. Yesterday, Patna high court has ordered to stall the release of this flick as a petition sought intervention of court to stop the screening of explicit scenes and cuss words in this film to public. Today, the ban is lifted by the court and way is cleared for release.
Speaking with media, a government lawyer stated that on Dirty Politics is lifted today as producer and director KC Bokadia has submitted in written to court that there are no objectionable scenes in the movie. CBFC has given an A certificate to the movie and Bokadia has submitted the letter himself to Court in Mumbai. Later the producer expressed his happiness over allowing the film release as usual on March 6th.
Dirty Politics is loosely based on Rajasthan based nurse Bhanwari Devi, whose sex scandal with a politician, some recorded tapes and her subsequent murder have shook the nation.
