BGM Specialist Disappoints Big Time!

Update: 2022-04-14 08:25 GMT
Before Thaman turned into a music composer known for his background scores, veteran composer Mani Sharma is considered the undisputed king of BGMs. Compared to other composers, he delivered the best background scores whether it is mass scenes or emotional scenes, or love scenes. He went out of form a few years back but bounced back with a couple of hit albums. His songs and BGM in 'Ismart Shankar' were the biggest reason for its success.

With him getting back to form, Megastar gave him a chance to work on 'Acharya'. Chiru and Mani Sharma gave a lot of memorable albums in the 90s and 2000s. Koratala's trusted composer Devi Sri Prasad was kept aside and Mani Sharma was brought onboard for 'Acharya'. The three songs 'Laahe Laahe', 'Neelambari' and 'Sana Kastam' which came out till date got a very good response from the audience.

Before the release of the theatrical trailer, people expected him to showcase his brilliance in re-recording. But Mani's work in the trailer left a lot to be desired. People who expected a lot were left disappointed as it lacked energy. Also, a few complained that the music he used for Charan's entry sounded repetitive. Some of the netizens even claimed that the music used in the trailer had a flavor of the recently released 'Bheemla Nayak'. Let us see if Mani Sharma delivers his best in the movie or not.

'Acharya' is a social drama produced by Matinee Entertainments banner. Kajal Agarwal is the heroine for Chiru while Pooja Hegde will be romancing Charan in this movie. There are a lot of noted artists in this project which takes place in a fictional village named Dharmasthali. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Thirunavikkarasu is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor. As we know, 'Acharya' will be hitting the screens on 29th April.
