Posters & Trailers of 'Bhale Manchi Roju' gave a feeling that its a crime comedy presented in a new manner. Believing in the story, Sudheer Babu teamed up with debutante Sriram Aditya who shot to fame with his short films. Did the content of the movie live up to the expectations?

Synopsis:

Ram (Sudheer Babu) gets cheated by a Girl and decides to teach a befitting lesson to her. Out of frustration, He takes a car in the Mechanic Shed owned by his father and mets with an accident with another car while going to accomplish his mission. Its then Seetha (Wamiqa Gabbi), a girl in another car, who was kidnapped by the gang of Shakti (Saikumar) escapes. Then, Shakti asks Ram to handover Seetha to him for releasing his friend who is in his custody. Did Ram save his friend & What happened to Seetha in the end forms the rest of the tale.

Performances:

Sudheer Babu has left a mark of his own in 'Bhale Manchi Roju' and he did what was required from him to do full justice to the character. However, His weakness while uttering dialogues in high-pitch voice is evident.

Wamiqa Gabbi has got good screen presence and her lip-sync is perfect. She is good in her role and dubbing offered for her is nice.

Saikumar, Posani, Venu, Sriram and Paruchuri did complete justice to their characters. Pruthvi's part in Climax is full of fun. The way he utter popular dialogues of cop movies and the imitation of Rajasekhar were a treat to watch. Aishwarya & Chaitanya Krishna have been good.

Pros:

Humour

Screenplay

Direction

Cons:

Songs Placement

Technicalities:

Technically, 'Bhale Manchi Roju' is sound! 'Viswaroopam' fame Syam Dutt's Camera Work has taken the film to a whole new level. Sunny MR's songs were good but placement isn't perfect and his re-recording is appreciable. Art Work is extraordinary.  'Bhale Manchi Roju' shows rhyming wasn't mandatory in dialogues to generate good humor. Sriram Aditya leaves a strong impact as director with his maiden venture and the command he have on crime-comedy is impeccable. Production Values were adequate.

Analysis:

Its very rare to find films with out-of-the-box content in a Industry which delivers tens of routine commercials on yearly basis. That too entertaining the audience with such experimental subject is very rare. 'Bhale Manchi Roju' is one such film every movie lover who craves for fresh narration & presentation would love watching. After 'Swamy Ra Ra', This is yet another crime comedy which offers loads of entertainment.

Usually, Crime Comedies with kidnap as the central plot will mostly remain same and the only way to keep audience engaged in through gripping screenplay. That's were 'Bhale Manchi Roju' scores well and its a huge surprise package for the audience. Not even a single Artist/Character was wasted and no place for unnecessary scenes in the movie. All roles have got a speciality & every actor will surprise at some point during the proceedings.

Debutante Filmmaker Sriram Aditya who proved his mettle with good screenplay ended Climax on a hilarious note. His expertise could be seen in the way he unveiled each twist in the story. There were hardly any boring moments in 'Bhale Manchi Roju' even though narration is a bit slow at times.

A bit of time was taken to establish the characters and for story take off. The momentum pick-up with Posani's entry and the tempo was carried till The End titles. Not to forget the Interval Twist which is splendid. Love Story of lead pair was dealt well with minimal usage of footage. Few songs in the Second Half could have been avoided and other than that there is nothing much to complain. Masses may or mayn't connect with 'Bhale Manchi Roju' as it lacks commercial elements but it will do well in all the A Centres.

Bottom Line: An Engaging Crime Comedy!!
