Bharat Kamma is making his directorial debut with 'Dear Comrade'. He had to go through a lot during the making of this love story because his Father passed away, Re-shoots happened and there were even speculations of rift with Vijay.
Not many knew that Bharat Kamma is a protege of Sukumar and Chandrasekhar Yeleti. He narrated the story of 'Dear Comrade' to Vijay Devarakonda post the release of 'Yevade Subramanyam' and the initial plan was to make it with a Rs 2 crore budget. The canvas has been increased to suit the image of Vijay post the success of 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Geetha Govindam'.
Although Bharat Kamma approached him with two other scripts, Vijay Devarakonda insisted they should stick to the same script. The Filmmaker rubbished the reports of Vijay's interference creating a rift. 'I was in complete control of the project even though the shooting got prolonged,' he clarified.
During the pre-release event, Vijay Devarakonda told he want 'Dear Comrade' to hit the bull's eye for Bharat Kamma who had put in a lot of hardwork.
