Big Producers Looking At Tier-2 Heroes More!

Update: 2019-05-04 11:40 GMT
Big Producers of Telugu Film Industry are not running after Mahesh, Prabhas, Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun with checks. The stars have given the producers a sort of ultimatum that they should look for scripts and not dates.

Prabhas is happy to work with UV Creations, almost his own production house back to back for any number of films as that will give him chance to do films at his own pace.

Mahesh is asking for better scripts and better deals from producers. He is looking at improving and building bigger market all over South India and therefore producers are finding it hard to convince him easily for a movie.

Jr. NTR and Ram Charan have become more script oriented too as the disasters in their careers have lost more than the hits have made cumulatively.

Allu Arjun showed that he is happy to lose a year than do films regularly with scripts that don't excite him. Hence, Big producers who started producing big star films are now looking at Tier-2 heroes more often.

Mythri Movie Makers joined Geetha Arts, Suresh Productions in looking to set up more and more projects with Nani, Vijay Devarakonda, Naga Chaitanya after Majili, Nikhil if he gets a hit, Nithiin and Sharwanand.

They are looking for young heroes too. Mythri Movie Makers started out making three big films with stars like Mahesh, NTR and Ram Charan. But they are now in a way looking to divide operations.

They chased big directors and stars for few years now. But for them to be the regular in the market, need more films in their portfolio. Mahesh-Sukumar issue, Boyapati Srinu losing trust of audiences and stars, increasing market prices are making them go for lucrative deals with young talents and Tier-2 heroes it seems.

Except for Dil Raju who is mixing the game well, all producers seem to be comfortable with going after Tier-2 heroes more these days and try one or two stars as a lucky draw ticket for bumper prize.
