Boyapati Not Repeating VVR Mistake For Akhanda

Update: 2021-11-30 09:41 GMT
Boyapati Sreenu is a determined man now. He is yearning to deliver a box office blockbuster with his upcoming film Akhanda, which has Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The film is slated for theatrical release on the 2nd of December and interestingly enough, Boyapati Sreenu is not so very active in the promotional campaign just yet. Usually, we see top filmmakers actively giving interviews and taking part in other promotional campaigns. But Boyapati is not doing any of this for Akhanda now. He is willing to play the silent game for now and there is a very strong reason behind the same.

During the release of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Boyapati Sreenu spoke highly of the film ahead of its release. At the pre-release event of the film, Boyapati said mega fans can raise their collars after watching the film. He added that the film will be a huge box office blockbuster and impress all sections of the audience. But none of this happened. The film was a disaster. Boyapati was then in the firing line for making tall claims about the film ahead of its release and actually delivering a big dud. Well, Boyapati seems to have learnt a lesson from the whole Vinaya Vidheya Rama development and he is incorporating it for Akhanda now.

Boyapati Sreenu didn't speak much at the grand pre-release event of Akhanda either. "This time around, I don't intend to speak much. I am sure that Akhanda will do the talking after it releases. The film will fare well at the box office and I am confident about that. I will speak more about the film at the success meet event once the film releases," he said.

Well, Boayapati seems to have come to a conclusion that it is not adviseable to speak much and make tall claims ahead of the film's release. Any unnecessary claims can draw flak if the film doesn't do well at the box office. So, this time around, he is staying calmer ahead of Akhanda's release. Akhanda is releasing in theatres on the 2nd of December. The film is billed to be a full on action thriller.
