In Film Industry, We usually come across Celebs saying they have aspired to become Doctors but ended up being Actors. Whereas, A Young Filmmaker who left a mark of his own with his maiden project actually wished to become a Cricketer.

Prasant Varma of 'Awe' fame was passionate about cricket. His focus shifted to films after a point and he bid goodbye to the sports he enjoyed the most as five movies can be watched in the time taken to play one match. He began making Short Films with some unique concepts but the break hasn't come to him so easily. One day Prashant Varma received an unexpected phone call from none other than Brian Lara. The West Indies legendary Cricketer appreciated the short films directed by the Youngster and asked him if he could make a short film on him. 'I was shocked when Lara said to Me that he liked My Short Film. It took Me a lot of time to recover. Even before I could gain my composure to thank him, He shocked Me again by asking if I could direct a short film on him. I got into the flight without wasting any time and wrote the concept during the journey itself. 'Not Out' is the short film I made on Lara. It's an unforgettable journey in my life,' he shares.

As part of the shoot, Prashant Varma played cricket with Brain Lara and bowled him with the first delivery he bowled. He presented the video in which the wicket-taking delivery was there and a bat gifted by Lara with the compliment that he is the best director to his Father.
