Bunny Stands Right Next To Prabhas After 'Pushpa'!

Update: 2022-01-31 10:09 GMT
Icon Star Allu Arjun has achieved the unthinkable. The team of 'Pushpa' released the Hindi version without any publicity whatsoever but it exceeded everyone's expectations and officially crossed the 100 crores mark in India by last night. The film's Hindi version got an opening day collection of 3 crores which is not that huge. But the movie picked up through word of the mouth publicity and social media.

The collections steadily grew and people started falling in love with Bunny's superb performance and his attitude as Pushparaj. The film started receiving accolades from the public and celebrities alike. The North audience immensely liked the film and started walking into theatres more than once. What was more interesting is the fact that it managed to withstand a Bollywood star hero film like Ranveer Singh's '83' and still went strong at the box office. A few weeks into the release, the movie was made available on Amazon Prime Video but the film's collections were steady. The Hindi version minted money despite all the hindrances like covid restrictions, 50% occupancy in theatres, competition from big films and it touched the 100 crore mark with zero promotions from the team.

With this huge achievement under his belt, Allu Arjun has become the only South Indian hero after pan-Indian star Prabhas to get over 100 crores collections in the North Indian market. Prabhas gained immense market after 'Baahubali' and the two part franchise minted over 1500 crores together worldwide. As we know, the Hindi version of 'Saaho' got more than 140 crores. These films are promoted well but Allu Arjun managed to get 100 crores from the Hindi circuit with a rustic action drama like 'Pushpa' which is not promoted in a proper manner. With this, the stage is set perfectly for 'Pushpa - The Rule' to create wonders at the box office. The shooting for the second part is expected to kickstart next month. Seems like Allu Arjun is only going to grow big in Bollywood hereafter.

Pushpa - The Rise' is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling and it is released on a pan-Indian scale. It was dubbed in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Rashmika played the role of Srivalli in this film while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil played the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
