Can 'Acharya' Cross The Breakeven Mark?

Update: 2022-04-30 08:39 GMT
Megastar Chiranjeevi's recent outing 'Acharya' failed to impress the audience. Koratala Siva who is a reliable director has disappointed big time and the fans are not at all happy with the content. Barring a few combination scenes of Charan and Chiranjeevi, the film had nothing to offer and the audience were confused about whether it is Koratala Siva's film or someone else's.

The team spent heavily on this film and the pre-release business was done accordingly. 'Acharya' has to collect over 130 crores from theatres by the end of its run to reach the breakeven mark. They hoped that the craze of Megastar and Ram Charan would pull this film over the line but it did not happen. Looking at the current situation, the theatre owners are reducing the ticket rates in some areas and they are replacing 'Acharya' with other films as per reports.

With small films arriving next week followed by superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' on 12th May, the odds are completely against Megastar's film. We need to wait and see what happens with 'Acharya' in the coming days.

Produced by Matinee Entertainments banner, Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha Konidela is presenting this film. Pooja Hegde romanced Charan in this movie. Mani Sharma is the music composer. There are a lot of noted artists in this project which takes place in a fictional village named Dharmasthali. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Thirunavikkarasu is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor. As we know, Ram Charan played a special role in this flick.
