Can Acharya overcome big budget film fatigue?

Update: 2022-04-10 17:16 GMT
KGF Chapter 2 is running away with all the meat in publicity even though Vijay's Beast is playing good second fiddle in states outside Tamil Nadu and Tamil dominated diaspora.

Beast is expected to take big opening on 13th April in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telugu states. KGF Chapter 2 is expected to break records in Karnataka and record highest gross on opening day for any Hindi film in Hindi markets post and during pandemic.

Even in Telugu states, movie is expected to collect huge in the first weekend. Well, there is another huge budget film which is almost forgotten by even fans of the biggest star of Telugu Cinema, that is, Acharya.

Mega star Chiranjeevi and his son, Mega Power Star Ram Charan are coming together for the first time in this film. Koratala Siva is directing it after four back to back big hits with star heroes. Still, movie has least anticipation among the big films.

Audio song Laahe Laahe became a hit but not at the range of Chiru-Mani Sharma combination hits. Movie promotions have also did not start yet and the theatrical trailer is expected to push the buzz.

Well, RRR team even though coming with two star Heroes after three to four years gap, publicised as if their life is dependent on it. Hence, they got desired result. KGF Chapter 2 team has increased and innovated their publicity campaigns.

Now, after RRR success, people will definitely like to see Ram Charan with Chiranjeevi on big screen but what if KGF Chapter 2, Beast fatigue overshadows Acharya and it turns out into something like Ghani.

Had Ghani released before Pushpa or during Pushpa, may be movie with a young star hero releasing after long gap would have brought in more moolah irrespective of talk. Acharya carrying such low buzz without hit songs might find it difficult to survive beyond opening day if the movie is not as good as expected.

Producers need to get the buzz going and improve publicity even if it has Megastar and Ram Charan in it.
