Big production houses taking up small films and releasing them became a trend in Tollywood. Suresh Productions started this trend with 'Pelli Choopulu'. They later released films like 'Mental Madhilo', 'C/o Kancherapalem', 'Falaknuma Das' and many more but not everyone of them proved to be successful.
Industry bigwigs like Dil Raju and Allu Arjun followed this path but did not succeed. Raju released some small films like 'Vellipomake' and 'Yevariki Cheppoddu' which ended up as failures. Allu Aravind too tried his luck with 'Paper Boy' but it didn't work out.
Now, he took up another small film titled, 'Palaasa 1978'. This time he paired up with 'UV Creations' for releasing this flick on January. Rakshit who worked in 'London Babulu' earlier plays the lead in this flick directed by 'Drona' fame Kiran Kumar. The film is filled with fresh talent.
It happens to be a story set in 1978 which took inspiration from films lie 'Ananthapuram'. Let us see if Geetha Arts can find success with this film or not.
