Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' got a positive talk. The intriguing political drama managed to impress the audience and Megastar's controlled yet powerful performance is being loved by the fans. Apart from Chiru, Satyadev is also getting a lot of praise for his acting and Nayanthara is great as always. Directed Mohan Raja is receiving a lot of accolades for handling a remake in the perfect way and making the fans happy whilst retaining the magic of the original.
After the first three days, the movie managed to get a share of 25.4 crores in AP & Telangana. On the whole, it got 32.5 crores worldwide and it is expected to get more during the weekend. These are decent collections but people expected the numbers to be better considering that it is Dusshera festive season. Sources say that the pre-release business of the movie was done for 96+ crores. Chiru's film managed to get 1/3rd of the money it was sold for.
The movie lacks commercial elements like songs and heavy fights involving Chiranjeevi but Salman's presence has reportedly helped the film to get a decent response in the Hindi market. Chiranjeevi himself said that 600 more screens were added from Saturday in the North which is a good sign. Films like 'Vikram Vedha' and 'Ponniyin Selvan' are not attracting the audience and Rashmika's 'Goodbye' got bad talk on the first day. This helped 'Godfather' but we need to see if the film enters the profit zone or not.
