Youngster Raj Tarun entered the film industry as an assistant director but fate had other plans for him. He turned into a hero with 'Uyyala Jampala' which was released in 2013. The film turned out to be a huge hit and Raj Tarun got a decent craze after this film. He followed it up with two back-to-back hits like 'Cinema Choopistha Mawa' and 'Kumari 21F'. With Hattrick hits, people thought that Raj Tarun would turn into a crazy hero in the coming days.
But luck did not favour him as all his films failed at the box office since then. Barring 'Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam' which had a decent run, all of his movies like 'Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu', 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha', 'Andhhagadu', 'Rangula Ratnam', 'Lover', 'Raju Gadu', 'Iddari Lokam Okate' and recently released 'Anubhavinchu Raja' turned out to be duds.
The 26 year old actor is now focusing completely on 'Stand Up Rahul'. He pinned a lot of hopes on this film and is hoping that it would be a success. The trailer and songs brought a decent buzz over the film and Raj Tarun is confident about the output. We need to wait and see what happens. The official release date is yet to be announced.
'Middle Class Melodies' fame Varsha Bollamma is the heroine in this urban romantic comedy. This coming-of-age feel-good romantic comedy is being produced by Nandakumar Abbineni and Bharath Maguluri under 'Dream Town Productions' and 'High Five Pictures' banners. Apart from Raj Tarun and Varsha Bollamma, we have Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Devi Prasad, Indraja, Madhurima Rajkumar Kasireddy, Tejo Bhattaru and others playing key roles. Ravi Teja Girijala is going to edit this flick while Sreeraj Raveendran cranks the camera. Uday Umagopal is the art director while Eshwar Penti is the choreographer. Nanda Kishore Emani has penned the dialogues while the additional dialogues were given by Ashwin B, Kss and Shalini. Stand Up comedy is a point that is quite new to the Telugu audience which may be the film's USP. Directed by debutant Santo Mohan Veeranki, Raj Tarun plays the role of a stand-up comedian.
