Can Trivikram Live Up To Expectations?

Update: 2020-01-05 05:29 GMT
For any director or writer, flops are common. It is important for them to come back and announce themselves, as the best in the game again and again.

Trivikram Srinivas from the start of his career, had a very good image as a writer but as a director, he seemed to fall short of his ideas, himself.

He tried his best to compensate but he couldn't crack the audience pulse until he did Julayi, fully. His Athadu, Jalsa did have good run theatrically, but they lasted more on Satellite and Digital platforms, bringing profits to hosts more than in the theatrical record books as films that earned profits. That is, they became cults for fans and developed fan groups on their own post their debut on TV. At theatres, they ended up as Above average grossers.

Khaleja is a failure at theaters but has great following on social media and people watch it regularly, on TV. With Julayi, Trivikram changed that and his core fans started missing the best writer in him gradually.

His films till Agnyathavasi had some redeeming qualities for his shortcomings in one department but the 2018 release became one of his worst, in fact, one of the worst possible films ever in Telugu Cinema.

So, when he came back with Aravinda Sametha in the same year, many wanted the writer in him at the top of his ability. In some scenes, he delivered and in some areas, he still needed a lot of polish.

Now, he is coming with Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo. Allu Arjun needs a hit as he had two underperformers before this film and even took an year gap. The songs of the film have become massive hits and obviously, this increased the hype on the film.

Can Trivikram Srinivas stand up to the expectations and deliver, especially, when his form doesn't look to be that great? Or will he say his class is permanent and form is temporary with the film? Let's wait for 12th January and watch.
