Rajni film Kaala story plagiarised?

These days, copyrights issue in Indian Film Industry have become a vital issue to deal with. Many writers are coming forward saying that their stories have been copied by big directors and writers without their permission.

Previously, Rajni film Lingaa too faced similar issues and Chamber solved the issue amicably. Again, new Rajni film, Kaala Karikalan found itself in the amidst of plagiarism allegations. According to K. Rajasekharan, who worked as assistant director to Kasturi Raja, the director and father of Dhanush, who is producing the movie, Kaala, the story of the movie, has been copied without his permission.

He registered a complaint regarding this in Film Chamber of Commerce and also gave a complaint to police commissioner as well. He claimed that long back he registered the script Karikalan for him to direct and when he heard the title of the new movie, he was surprised and hence, he filed a case. Well, he also claims that the story follows the same pattern that he wrote for his script and he wants them to be punished severely.

Right now, Kaala shooting is going on in Mumbai with Huma Qureshi, Samudirakani, Nana Patekar along with Rajnikanth. Pa. Ranjith is the writer and director of the movie.
