Case booked against Jyothika

A Petition was moved in a Magistrate Court in Chennai seeking action against Actress Jyothika for allegedly using abusive language in the Tamil flick 'Naachiyaar'.

Rajan, a driver, approached the court alleging Jyothika who played a police officer in 'Naachiyaar' was seen denigrating women in the teaser. He mentioned in the petition that using such an abusive language is a punishable offense under Section 249b of IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act. Accepting the petition, Court has given a direction to cops to file case against Jyothika.  

'Naachiyaar' is directed by Bala of 'Sethu' and 'Siva Putrudu' fame. Jyothika and GV Prakask Kumar play lead roles.

Jyothika made her comeback with '36 Vayadhinile' in 2015. 'Magalir Mattum' is another female-centric flick from her in the recent past. Whereas, The cop character she essayed in 'Naachiyaar' is going to be rough and tough.
