Case filed against Srimanthudu & Kick 2

Update: 2015-09-07 08:50 GMT
Few weeks after the release, 'Srimanthudu' and 'Kick 2' have been making news for all the wrong reasons. Guess, what could be the fault?

Rajesh Kumar, an RTI Activist, filed a case against the makers of 'Srimanthudu' and 'Kick 2' at the Kukatpally Police Station citing violation of Section 38 of Cinematography Act.

As per the complainant, The Censor Certification issued by the Censor Board wasn't mentioned in the print & electronic pubilicity materials of these two star-studded films. While 'Srimanthudu' obtained Clean U, 'Kick 2' managed to get an 'U/A' certificate. 'Makers hardly bothered to mention the Censor rating in the publicity material,' accuses the Petitioner.

Following the complaint, The 14th Metropolitan Court directed a Special Officer to investigate the case. Legal action would be initiated against the makers of 'Srimanthudu' and 'Kick 2' if they were found guilty of violating Section 38 of Cinematography Act.
