OMG! 14 Cuts Suggested To That Film

Update: 2017-07-13 10:02 GMT
Upcoming Bollywood 'Indu Sarkar' has become hot topic in the recent past.  Madhur Bhandarkar has directed this film in the backdrop of Emergency days imposed by former Indian PM Indira Gandhi. The promos and trailer of the film gave a feeling that the movie will surely create sensations.  Congress Party leaders have already raised their objections allegting that the film shows Indira Gandhi.. her son Sanjay Gandhi in bad light.

On the contrary, common audience are eagerly waiting for the release of the film to know to know about the emergency days.  'Indu Sarkar' recently went for Censor certification.  Censor Board officials said to have suggested 14 cuts after watching the film.  Director Madhur Bhandarkar is seriously upset with the cuts.  He is questioning that what will be left in the film after 14 cuts ?

CBFC asked the makers to remove Indian Harold paper cuttings consisting of leaders like Morarji Desai.. Vajpayee.. Advani.  Similarly they have asked to remove dialogues like "Ab is desh me maine Gandhi ko badal chuka hun'(I have changed Gandhi in this country now).. Bharath ki ek beti ne desh ko bandi banaya hua hai'(A daughter has made the country a prisoner).. 'Aur tumlog jindagi bhar maa beti ki ghulami karte rahoge?'(Will you remain as slaves to monther and son for lifetime).  Censor board also asked to mute the names of several leaders.

While responding on the cuts Madhur said "We are severely disappointed with the cuts suggested by CBFC.  All these cuts are present there in the trailer which has been censored by them. Why did you allow then.. why are you asking us to cut them now? What will be left in the film if we remove all these dialogues? If we remove these dialogues, the purpose behind the film will be completely deviated. We are going to challenge the censor board decision before the revising committee. We are confident that justice will be done to us there."
