Update: 2022-09-03 14:12 GMT
South Indian cinema has grown leaps and bounds over the past few years. Movies like 'Baahubali', 'KGF', 'Pushpa' and 'RRR' have won the appreciation of the crowd all over the nation and brought huge amounts of money. Whilst a lot of big Bollywood flicks have failed badly at the box office in recent times, a normal film from Tollywood performed exceptionally well nationwide and became a big success. It is none other than 'Karthikeya 2'.

The movie came out as a sequel to 'Karthikeya' which came out in 2014. The film was released in just 50 screens in North India on its first day but the positive talk made the buyers to increase the screens within no time. After completing 20 days in theatres, the movie got 25 crores in Hindi and managed to cross the 100 crore mark worldwide making it a huge blockbuster.

With no new film managing to impress the audience this weekend, the audience voted for 'Karthikeya 2' once again and it ran with houseful boards. The movie is performing well in the US box office too and with the ticket prize reduced to 3 dollars, a lot of public are showing interest in watching the movie.

With 'Karthikeya 2' continuing its golden run at the box office, many are calling Chandoo Mondeti was a pan-Indian director. There is news that many are claiming that he is getting Bollywood offers too. On top of everything, top director SS Rajamouli recently showered praises on 'Karthikeya 2' and compared it with 'Baahubali', 'KGF 2' and 'Pushpa'. Getting such appreciation from such a big director is more than being called as a pan-Indian director.

With 'Karthikeya 2', it has been made clear that content is what works out at pan-Indian level. Without any promotions, 'Karthikeya 2' managed to score big while big stars like Aamir and Akshay failed to impress the audience. A lot of celebrities are hailing Chandoo Mondeti as a pan-India director now.
