Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the First Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh .Governor ESL Narasimhan administered Naidu's oath of office at a grand event held at Nagarjuna Nagar between Vijayawada and Guntur at 7.27 pm.
The glittering ceremony attended by various Union Ministers and other dignitaries on Sunday evening.The TDP leader assumed office for the third time after served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1995 and 1999.
For the last 10 years, he had served as the leader of opposition during the Congress regime. TDP had registered a big win and stormed to power in the 2014 assembly elections.
Naidu was born on 20 April 1950 at Naravari Palle, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh .Naidu received a Congress ticket in 1978 under the 20-percent quota for youth from the Chandragiri constituency. He won, and was appointed as technical education and cinematography minister in T Anjaiah's government.Naidu served as the longest chief minister of the state from 1995 to 2004. He unleashed a series of reforms after taking over the reins of state. With a firm conviction, Naidu laid emphasis on the use of modern information technology.
Now Naidu became the first Chief Minister of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh state with 13 districts.
