Chennai High Court quashed the petition seeking a stay on the release of 'Kabali'. With this development, All the hurdles for the grand release of Rajinikanth starrer has been cleared.
'Lingaa' Distributors moved Chennai High Court accusing Rajinikanth, Director KS Ravikumar and Producer Rockline Venkatesh of not compensating the losses they have incurred. They sought a direction from court to stall the release of 'Kabali' until they were compensated. To their misery, High Court turned down the plea of the Distributors to pave way for the Worldwide release of 'Kabali' on July 22nd.
After the poor performance at Box Office, 'Lingaa' Distributors demanded Rajinikanth to compensate just alike he has done when 'Baba' has bitten dust. Even Superstar agreed for it but Producer Rockline Venkatesh & Distributors failed to resolve the issue in an amicable manner. Thereafter, Distributors have launched a series of protests which include begging before Rajini's House and staging dharnas. Finally, They moved High Court hoping for a positive response.
