Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are two of the most followed senior heroes in Telugu Cinema. In their prime, the box office classes between Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna used to shake the entire industry. But the rivalry had dampened over the years as next-gen actors like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Jr NTR, and others came to the foreground and attained a whole lot of fame. But if the latest developments are to go by, Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna seem to be gearing up to enthrall their and followers big time. Both the star actors are lining up a series of interesting projects which are in various stages of production.
Chiranjeevi is currently busy with Acharya, an action drama directed by Koratala Siva. Once he is done with this project, Chiru will be taking the Telugu remakes of Lucifer and Vedhalam onto the floors. While Mohan Raja helms Lucifer remake, Meher Ramesh will wield the megaphone for the Vedhalam remake. Chiranjeevi is also supposed to join hands with Bobby for a commercial potboiler. This film is said to be a remake of Malayalam film, Driving License and it is likely to hit the floors sooner than later. He* has lined up three projects which are all set to hit the floors in the near future.
Coming to Balakrishna, he too is lining up multiple biggies. Balayya will next be seen in Akhanda, a powerful action thriller directed by Boyapati Sreenu. This will be his third collaboration with Boyapati after two blockbusters, Simha and Legend. Akhanda is carrying positive reverberations. After the Boyapati Sreenu directorial, Balayya will join hands with Gopichand Malineni for another commercial potboiler. This project will be funded by Mythri Movie Makers. Balakrishna is also scheduled to work with happening filmmaker Anil Ravipudi for an action-comedy. This project is very close to materialization. Balayya is also in talks with Puri Jagannadh for another potential collaboration. Apart from these projects, Balayya has also signed a project with Sithara Entertainments and the same will be announced very soon.
