Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu's 'Alludus' outrightly rejected

This Sankranthi season, a handful of Telugu films hit the silver screens. Incidentally, Megastar Chiranjeevi's Alludu (son-in-law) Kalyaan Dhev and Mahesh Babu's Alludu (nephew) Ashok Galla tested their luck this festival season.

Kalyaan Dhev's Super Machi and Ashok Galla's Hero were two of the few films that hit the marquee.

Sadly for those involved, both Super Machi and Hero bombed at the box office. Neither of these two films could actually strike a chord with the Telugu audience. They are now being termed box office disasters.

Comparatively, Hero could at least create some noise prior to its release, thanks to the aggressive promotional campaign ahead of the film's release. But not many Telugu people even knew that Super Machi released in theatres this Sankranthi.

As it appears, even the Telugu audience are intending to shun out nepotism. They are willing to encourage only content-oriented films and are showing no mercy to star kids' films.

As things stand, Bangarraju is registering excellent footfalls this festival season, thanks to the winning combination of Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The rest of the lot have disappeared without a trace.
