Chiranjeevi Thanks CM Jagan For The Restart Package

The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday has given a boost to the film industry, which has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government has decided to waive the fixed electricity charges to be paid by theatres for 3 months. As part of this, fixed electricity charges will be abolished for all theatres, including multiplexes, for the months of April, May and June and allow payment of power charges for six months at a later date. It will also facilitate loans, benefiting 1,100 theatres.

Soon after the government came out with the package, Megastar Chiranjeevi has hailed the government decision. He took to Twitter handle and thanked the Chief Minister.

"My sincere gratitude to YS Jagan garu for the very compassionate #CinemasRestartPackage for Exhibitors. The various relief measures are the need of the hour for the sustenance of Theatres & #TeluguFilmIndustry as a whole & will greatly benefit the livelihoods of thousands of families," Chiranjeevi wrote.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi will next film be seen is Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva alongside Kajal Aggarwal.
