Actor-turned-Politician Chiranjeevi mourned the death of veteran filmmaker Bapu. He opined Bapu is one of the finest artistes, writers and directors in the country.

Chiranjeevi recollected his old memories with the director. He claimed to have matured a lot as an actor after working for 'Kaliyuda Pandavulu' under Bapu's director and it was just his 2nd film in TFI. 'Punadhi Rallu' happens to be Chiru's launch pad. After 'Kaliyuda Pandavulu', he acted in Bapu's 'Mantri Gaari Viyyamkudu'.

The Rajya Sabha member declared every film of Bapu is a classic and showered praises on the way he designed Lord Rama's roles in his mythological films. He asserted the void left with the absence of Bapu and Ramana can't be filled for ever. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family members of Bapu.
